Course Description – New York State CME Skills Verification & Documentation Review
This session is intended for New York State certified EMS providers who are seeking to complete the practical skills and documentation requirements associated with Continuing Medical Education (CME) based recertification.
Participants will complete the required practical skills examination for skills competency verification consistent with New York State Division of EMS recertification standards and current policy statment. Practical skills evaluation will be conducted by the Aura Prep team.
In addition, an Aura Prep CIC will perform a structured review of the participant’s CME documentation to assist in confirming:
• Completion of required CME hours
• Accuracy and completeness of CME records
• Compliance with applicable New York State recertification guidelines
This is designed for providers who have already completed their CME coursework and require:
• Practical skills verification
• CME paperwork review and validation
• Identification and correction of documentation deficiencies
This offering does not provide CME hours and is not a refresher course.
Participation does not guarantee recertification approval, which remains subject to New York State Bureau of EMS & Trauma Systems policies and procedures.
It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure timely submission of their CME recertification packet to the New York State (NYS) Division of EMS. Aura Prep does not submit recertification paperwork on a participant’s behalf. Participants are solely responsible for ensuring their submission complies with all applicable NYS policies and required timelines. Aura Prep is not responsible for delays, omissions, errors, or late submissions.
